The 3 Days Marrakech to Fez Desert Tour is an essential one for any Moroccan tourist looking to get the best out of his visit to Morocco since fez and Marrakech are the most culturally rich cities of the country. For an even more complete experience we have bundled fez with a Morocco desert tour of the Sahara desert for a flavor of the country’s natural landscape.
The desert trip from Marrakech to Fes spans 3 days. Our first day consists of crossing the high Atlas Mountains in our air conditioned cars, the beauty of this trip is that the pass we will be taking is 2260 meters above sea level. Touring over the foothills of the mountain, you will be able to spot the small Berber villages lining the area. Upon reaching Ait Benhaddou you will get to explore the Kasbah of the city with its 300 rooms! Afterwards we pay a visit to the city of roses “Dades gorges”. Carved by the Dades River, the area is rich with rose implantations as well as many palm & almond trees and this is the sight of the private guesthouse we will be spending the night in. On day 2 of our 3 Days Trip to Fez from Marrakech we will travel to Erg chebbi Sahara desert at Merzouga, enjoy a camel ride at sunset as we trek to our nomad camp for sandboarding, an animated dinner by the campfire filled with music and joy. For the third day we will trek back to the hotel on our camels to begin our ride to fez via the Cedar forest near Azrou and the middle Atlas Mountain.
